Our Parmesan and balsamic tour was truly a highlight of our trip to Modena!

From the moment we arrived, the guides welcomed us with warmth and passion, making it clear that this wasn't just a tour—it was a journey into centuries of tradition. They were also so patient with my 18 month old!


Watching the Parmesan wheels being crafted and aged was fascinating, and the aromas alone were worth the visit! The tasting that followed was exceptional—sampling cheeses at different stages of aging gave us such an appreciation for the craftsmanship involved.


The balsamic vinegar portion was equally unforgettable. Learning about the aging process in wooden barrels, passed down through generations, was both educational and inspiring. And of course, tasting the rich, syrupy balsamic—paired perfectly with Parmesan—was a revelation.


The setting was authentic and intimate, giving us the chance to ask questions and really connect with the producers. It was clear how much pride and love they put into their work, and that energy made the experience even more special.


If you love food, culture, and stories that bring both to life, this tour is a must. We left not only with delicious souvenirs but also with a deeper appreciation for two of Italy's most iconic flavors.

WOW! We didn't have a lot of expectations but this was awesome! If you visit you must do the master class, best $$$ spent on our trip!

Out host Ginnea was great, very knowledgeable and super nice, took great care of us and made the experience memorable. You will leave with a newfound love for Balsamic of Modena.

As a side note, while we were waiting, we where greated by a very nice lady that offered us coffee and cake, and chatted with us until our tour started. Later on, we found out she was the owner!

What a great gem! Don’t get discouraged by the gate; it’s just to keep all the magic inside. We were looking for a typical Acetaia to taste real balsamic vinegar, and Acetaia Malagoli Daniele did not disappoint!
​Even though we didn't have a reservation, Sofia (the owner) still welcomed us and took the time to tell us about their products, as well as the traditions and process behind true balsamic vinegar. We also got to try most of their products (even the high-end ones). We ended up buying all our travel gifts there, as well as many products for ourselves! ;) As a bonus, we even got a tour of their cellar (the smell was amazing!). P.S. They also have a B&B on site!

My daughter and I scheduled a visit to Acetaia Malagoli Daniele with only a week’s notice, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They went above and beyond to help us plan every detail of our trip, including arranging transfers, which made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.
This was far more than a tour — it felt like being welcomed into a family. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality. We learned about the rich family heritage behind their historic DOP balsamic vinegar, prosciutto, and Parmigiano Reggiano production, and we also participated in a wonderful cooking class that made the experience even more memorable.
The property itself is absolutely stunning — peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable. Our room was spotless, modern, and had excellent air conditioning, which was especially appreciated during the warmer weather. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, meats, cereal, cakes, and an endless supply of outstanding coffee.
If you are visiting the Modena area, do not miss the opportunity to experience this special family-run establishment. You leave not only with unforgettable memories, but feeling like you have made lifelong friends.

Absolutely the best tour and tasing you can do in the area. The masterclass tasting tour (A12) was so personal, all the balsamic products are so so good, and Sofia is the absolute best. Cannot recommend enough. Family and women run operation, which adds even more the to experience. Don’t consider doing any other balsamic tours - do this one!
